Established in 1970, Uniwersytet Gdański (University of Gdańsk) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Gdańsk (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Pomeranian Voivodeship. This institution also has branch campuses in Sopot, Gdynia and Hel. Officially recognized by the Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego (Ministry of Science and Higher Education), Uniwersytet Gdański (UG) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Polish higher education institution. Uniwersytet Gdański (UG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
