Established in 1945, Gdański Uniwersytet Medyczny (Medical University of Gdańsk) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Gdańsk (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Pomeranian Voivodeship. This institution also has a branch campus in Gdynia. Officially recognized by the Ministerstwo Zdrowia (Ministry of Health), Gdański Uniwersytet Medyczny (GUMed) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 6,000-6,999 students) coeducational Polish higher education institution. Gdański Uniwersytet Medyczny (GUMed) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
