Established in 1908, University of the Philippines Manila is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Manila (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), National Capital Region. This institution also has branch campuses in Palo, Leyte, Baler, Aurora Koronadal City and South Cotabato. Officially recognized by the Commission on Higher Education of the Philippines, University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational Philippine higher education institution.
