Founded in 1876, Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (National University of Engineering, Peru) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Lima (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in San Borja and La Molina. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación, Peru (Ministry of Education of Peru), Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational Peruvian higher education institution officially affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
