Founded in 2004, Prefectural University of Hiroshima is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the metropolis of Hiroshima (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in Shobara. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, Prefectural University of Hiroshima is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational Japanese higher education institution.
