University of Cape Town is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Founded in 1874, University of Cape Town (UCT) is a coeducational institution and is officially recognized by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
