Established in 1948, Bugema University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the rural setting of the metropolis of Kampala (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Central Region. This institution also has branch campuses in Kasese, Arua, Kampala, Mbale and Eldoret. Officially recognized by the The National Council for Higher Education of Uganda, Bugema University (BUG) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 4,000-4,999 students) coeducational Ugandan higher education institution officially affiliated with the Christian-Adventist religion. Bugema University (BUG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees and master's degrees in several areas of study.
