University of Gezira (جامعة الجزيرة) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Wad Madani, Al Jazirah, Sudan. This institution also has branch campuses in Alhasaheesa, Alhosh, Almanagil, Alkamlin and Alhideebah. Founded in 1975, University of Gezira (UofG) is a coeducational institution officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Sudan. UofG provides courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees, including pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
