Established in 1998, the Universidad Martín Lutero (Martín Lutero University) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Managua (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has branch campuses in Ocotal, Jalapa, Siuna, Jinotega, Chinandega, León, Masaya, El Rama, Nueva Guinea, San Carlos and Santo Tomás. Officially recognized by the Consejo Nacional de Universidades, Nicaragua (National Council of Universities of Nicaragua), Universidad Martín Lutero (UML) is a medium sized (uniRank enrollment range: 9,000-9,999 students) coeducational Nicaraguan higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Lutheran religion.
