Established in 1970, Universidad del Noreste A.C. (University of the Northeast) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Tampico (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Tamaulipas. Officially recognized by the Secretaría de Educación Pública, Mexico (Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico), Universidad del Noreste A.C.
