Established in 1792, Universidad de Guadalajara (University of Guadalajara) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Guadalajara (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Jalisco. This institution also has branch campuses in Ameca, Autlán, Colotlán, Cd. Guzmán, Huentitán El Alto, Ocotlán, Puerto Vallarta, Tepatitlán de Morelos and Zapopan. Officially recognized by the Secretaría de Educación Pública, Mexico (Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico), Universidad de Guadalajara (UDG) is a very large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: over-50,000 students) coeducational Mexican higher education institution. Universidad de Guadalajara (UDG) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
