Founded in 1982, Universidad México Americana del Norte A.C. (Mexican-American University of the North, Ciudad Reynosa) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Reynosa (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Tamaulipas. This institution also has branch campuses in McAllen, Rio Grande Valley, Rio Bravo and Tamaulipas. Officially recognized by the Secretaría de Educación Pública, Mexico (Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico), Universidad México Americana del Norte A.C.
