University of Sri Jayewardenepura (ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්ව විද්‍යාලය) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Nugegoda, Western Province, Sri Lanka. Founded in 1959, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJP) is a coeducational institution officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka. USJP provides courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees, including bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
