Founded in 1946, Wonkwang University is a private higher education institution located in the medium city of Iksan (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North Jeolla. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Wonkwang University (WKU) is a coeducational South Korean higher education institution officially affiliated with the Buddhist religion. Wonkwang University (WKU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees in several areas of study.
