Established in 1987, University of Tikrit is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Tikrit (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Saladin. This institution also has a branch campus in Samraa. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, University of Tikrit (TU) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 5,000-5,999 students) coeducational Iraqi higher education institution. University of Tikrit (TU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
