Founded in 1961, National Institute of Design is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Ahmedabad (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Gujarat. This institution also has a branch campus in Gandhinagar. Officially recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research of the Ministry of Science and Technology of India, National Institute of Design (NID) is a coeducational Indian higher education institution. National Institute of Design (NID) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
