University of Kashmir (कश्मीर विश्वविद्यालय) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Established in 1948, University of Kashmir (KU) is a coeducational institution and is officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of India.
