Established in 1963, Universitas Negeri Medan (State University of Medan) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Medan (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), North Sumatra. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology), Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
