Founded in 2013, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (Nahdlatul Ulama University of Surabaya) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Surabaya (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), East Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology), Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 3,000-3,999 students) coeducational Indonesian higher education institution.
