Founded in 1954, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (Muslim University of Indonesia) is a private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Makassar (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), South Sulawesi. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology), Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Indonesian higher education institution officially affiliated with the Islamic religion.
