Founded in 1965, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (Muhammadiyah University of Malang) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Malang (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), East Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology), Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) is a very large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational Indonesian higher education institution officially affiliated with the Islamic religion.
