Established in 1962, Université d'Orléans (University of Orléans) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the small city of Orléans (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Centre-Val de Loire. This institution also has branch campuses in Blois, Bourges, Chartres, Châteauroux and Fondettes. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche (Ministry of Higher Education and Research), Université d'Orléans (UO) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational French higher education institution.
