Founded in 1460, Nantes Université (University of Nantes) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Nantes (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Pays de la Loire. This institution also has a branch campus in La Roche-sur-Yon and Saint-Nazaire. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, France (Ministry of Higher Education and Research of France), Nantes Université (UN) is a very large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational French higher education institution.
