Founded in 1441, Université de Bordeaux (University of Bordeaux) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large city of Bordeaux (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Nouvelle-Aquitaine. This institution also has a branch campus in Talence and Pessac. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, France (Ministry of Higher Education and Research of France), Université de Bordeaux (UB) is a very large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: over-50,000 students) coeducational French higher education institution. Université de Bordeaux (UB) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
