Al-Azhar University (جامعة الأزهر) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Cairo, Egypt. This institution also has branch campuses in Assuit, Tanta, Mansoura, Alexandria, Zaqaziq, Qena and Shebin-Elkom.
