Founded in 1995, Universidad del Caribe (University of Caribe) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Santo Domingo (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Distrito Nacional. This institution also has a branch campus in Monte Plata. Officially recognized by the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology), Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational Dominican higher education institution. Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees and master's degrees in several areas of study.
