Founded in 2012, Akdeniz Karpaz Üniversitesi (University of Mediterranean Karpasia) is a for-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Lefkosía (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Northern Cyprus. Officially recognized by the Yüksekögretim Planlama, Denetleme, Akreditasyon ve Koordinasyon Kurulu (Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council of North Cyprus), Akdeniz Karpaz Üniversitesi (UMK) is a very small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: under-250 students) coeducational Cypriot higher education institution. Akdeniz Karpaz Üniversitesi (UMK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
