Established in 1989, Universidad de los Andes, Chile (University of the Andes, Chile) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large metropolis of Santiago (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Region Metropolitana de Santiago. Officially recognized by the Comisión Nacional de Acreditación (National Accreditation Commission), Universidad de los Andes, Chile (UANDES) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 9,000-9,999 students) coeducational Chilean higher education institution officially affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion.
