Founded in 1990, Universidad del Desarrollo (University for Development) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Santiago (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Region Metropolitana de Santiago. This institution also has a branch campus in Concepcion. Officially recognized by the Comisión Nacional de Acreditación, Chile (National Accreditation Commission), Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational Chilean higher education institution. Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
