Founded in 2007, Université Officielle de Ruwenzori (Official University of Ruwenzori) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the small city of Butembo (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), North Kivu. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et Universitaire (Ministry of Higher and University Education), Université Officielle de Ruwenzori (UOR) is a coeducational Congolese (DRC) higher education institution. Université Officielle de Ruwenzori (UOR) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
