Established in 1995, Haute École en Hainaut (Hainaut University College) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Mons (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Hainaut. This institution also has a branch campus in Tournai. Officially recognized by the Direction générale de l'Enseignement non obligatoire et de la Recherche scientifique (Directorate General for Non-Compulsory Education and Scientific Research), Haute École en Hainaut (HEH) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 3,000-3,999 students) coeducational Belgian higher education institution.
