Founded in 1978, Islamic University of Technology is a private higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Gazipur (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Dhaka. Officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Islamic University of Technology (IUT) is a very small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational Bangladeshi higher education institution officially affiliated with the Islamic religion. Islamic University of Technology (IUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
