Founded in 1975, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (Vienna University of Economics and Business) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Vienna (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Bundesministerium für Frauen, Wissenschaft und Forschung, Österreich (Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research of Austria), Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU Wien) is a large-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational Austrian higher education institution. Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU Wien) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor's degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
