Founded in 1970, Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt (University of Klagenfurt) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Klagenfurt (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Carinthia. This institution also has a branch campus in Vienna. Officially recognized by the Bundesministerium für Frauen, Wissenschaft und Forschung (Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research), Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt (AAU) is a small-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 3,000-3,999 students) coeducational Austrian higher education institution.
