Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Vienna, Austria. Founded in 1692, Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien (ABKW) is a coeducational institution officially recognized by the Bundesministerium für Frauen, Wissenschaft und Forschung. ABKW provides courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees, including bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
