Overview
Established in 1993, the Education Quality Evaluation Center (EQEA) is an organization under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China that is responsible for evaluating and accrediting higher education institutions in China. EQEA evaluates institutions based on their academic programs, faculty qualifications, research output, infrastructure and overall educational quality and provides recommendations for improvement. HEEC's evaluations are an important factor in determining the rankings and reputations of Chinese universities both domestically and internationally.
