Established in 1993, the Committee on Science and Higher Education of Saint Petersburg is a governmental body of Saint Petersburg, Russia, responsible for formulating and implementing policies related to science, technology and higher education in the city. The Committee aims to develop the scientific potential of Saint Petersburg, promote innovation and ensure the quality of higher education institutions in the city. Its main tasks include developing strategies and programs for the development of science and higher education, supporting research and development activities, coordinating and monitoring the activities of higher education institutions and providing funding for research and innovation projects.
