Overview
The Higher Education Accreditation Council (HEAC) of Jordan is an independent institution established in 2007 to regulate and improve the quality of higher education in Jordan. Its main function is to evaluate and accredit higher education institutions and programs based on a set of quality standards and criteria. The HEAC also works to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and research in higher education institutions in Jordan and to promote international recognition and acceptance of Jordanian degrees. It is responsible for the periodic review and assessment of the performance of higher education institutions and programs in Jordan and for making recommendations for their improvement.
